About This Program

The Mental Health Support Program is one of SSIM’s flagship initiatives dedicated to promoting mental wellbeing, reducing stigma, and improving access to community-based mental health support in Mathare. The program creates safe spaces where children, adolescents, youth, and adults can openly discuss mental health challenges, receive peer support, build resilience, and access referrals to professional services when needed. Through awareness campaigns, peer-led support groups, mentorship, psychosocial support, and community dialogues, SSIM empowers individuals to prioritize their mental wellbeing and live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
