PROGRAMS COORDINATOR
Catherine Omondi is a Programs Coordinator, peacebuilder, and Co-founder of Swift Slums Integrators Mathare,committed to advancing peace, social justice, and community-led development in the informal settlements. She is currently pursuing a Diploma in Social Work and Community Development, equipping her with the knowledge and skills to strengthen community resilience and social transformation.
With extensive experience working alongside young people, Catherine champions civic engagement and civic education, empowering youth to actively participate in decision-making processes and become agents of positive change. She is a trained peace mediator who facilitates dialogue, conflict resolution, and community cohesion.
As a feminist and human rights defender, Catherine works closely with adolescent girls and young women, advocating for their wellbeing, leadership, and access to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) information and services. Her work is driven by a strong belief in equality, inclusion, and the power of communities to create lasting peace.
She is self-driven, passionate, and community-oriented, Catherine continues to inspire and mobilize young people to build peaceful, informed, and resilient communities.
